I have been on a BIG soloist and Japanese music kick lately. I literally am listening to the same albums over and over again. This might be a very short list and not the usual 10-11 choices. 😂
LUXURY DISEASE (JAPAANESE VERSION) - ONE OK ROCK - I can't tell you HOW MANY TIMES I have listened to this album! I can listen to the album on repeat and not skip a song. It is just an AMAZING album! I love that we got a mix of Japanese and English songs. One Ok Rock will always be one of my favorite bands. THEY NEVER DISAPPOINT!
MIYAVI - I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO ALL OF HIS MUSIC RECENTLY! I just turn him on and listen to his entire discography. I guess I am on a Jrock kick. If you guys have not listened to Miyavi, you should give him a chance. Maybe I am listening to him a lot because I am considering going to see him in concert and haven't made up my mind yet.
MAGIC MAN - JACKSON WANG - This man can't make a bad song. This is another album that I can listen to from start to finish and not skip a song. I don't get tired of listening to this album on repeat. I love the variety in this album. I love how creative he gets with songs. I just enjoy listening to the entire album all the way through and see how each song goes with the next. How all the songs seem so different from one another but also seem to fit well together on one album.
MOODSWINGS IN TO ORDER - DPR IAN - Another masterpiece of an album. If you don't listen to DPR IAN, you are really missing out on a great artist. This is another album that has been on repeat. THE MUSIC VIDEOS FOR THIS ALBUM ARE AMAZING! I always love DPR IAN's music videos for his music. They are always so different and unique. He has just an interesting mind and creative expression with his work. I always look forward to new music from him.
BLANC - JUNNY - Another soloist's album that I have been OBSESSED with lately. Blanc is another album I just put on repeat. I love the variety that Junny can do. I LOVE his R&B music but also love other genres that he has done. If you guys missed it, I wrote a "SPOTLIGHT" on JUNNY recently which you can check out here. GASOLINE - KEY - Now, we are not surprised that KEY is on this list. I mean I am a HUGE SHINee fan so, OF COURSE, I am listening to this album on repeat. KEY HAS DONE IT AGAIN! This album is another masterpiece. I love that it sounds like KEY but also, he experiments on it as well.
