WE ARE BACK WITH ANOTHER "MY WATCHLIST" POST THIS WEEK! There have been quite a few changes on my list since my last post in May. I finished quite a few dramas WHICH ALWAYS FEELS GOOD! I also have added a few new dramas to the watchlist. I even plan to add more this weekend which won't be included in this blog post because I haven't even clicked play on episode 1. LET'S CHECK OUT WHAT I AM WATCHING NOW! As always, I am watching SO MANY KDRAMAS! I really need to switch it up.😂
Remember if I put *ADDICTED* next to any drama, that means I AM LOVING THE DRAMA!
KDRAMAS
Insider - I am loving Insider BUT IT IS INTENSE!! I am holding my breath the entire episode. The stakes are high with this one and no one can be trusted. I honestly have no idea how this drama will end. Is he going to stay in jail forever? I am also a little bit lost on a few of the plot points because there are a lot of names being thrown around. I am very invested in this drama though and I look forward to more. THE ENTIRE CAST IS DOING GREAT AND THE ACTING IS TOP-NOTCH!
Jinxed At First - I don't know how I feel about this drama yet. I have watched the first 2 episodes. On one hand, I like it more than I thought I would. I was going into this drama thinking that it would be too cutesy for me and that the rom-com aspects of this drama would not be my thing. I wasn't wrong. Sometimes this drama is a little too cutesy or comedic for me BUT it also has something I wasn't expecting. IT IS A LOT DARKER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE! It being dark has saved it for me too because it balances out the other genre quite nicely. So, I am definitely going to watch more and see how it goes. I am also liking all the fantasy and lore in the story too. It reminds me a little like a fairytale such as Rapunzel or Sleeping Beauty.
Rich Family's Son - Since I finished my daily drama I was watching; I needed a new one to watch. I picked Rich Family's Son. I like a lot of the cast and it is different than the others I have watched because it is more family centered. It is not as makjang (YET) than the other daily dramas I have watched previously. I don't know if that is a good thing or not yet. I like the revenge, makjang heavy daily dramas so, I might get bored with this. WE WILL SEE! I am liking that this drama is setting up multiple couples and I can see that there will revenge and maybe murder further into the story.
To My Star 2 - I watched season 1 so I HAD to watch season 2. I am not liking but also appreciating that it isn't fluffy. I like when dramas take a realistic approach to a story. It also has a mystery about it in the plot which I need to know the answer to NOW! The two leads still have great chemistry and their acting is GREAT! I can't wait to see how this drama concludes.
Why Her (*ADDICTED*) - I AM LOVING THIS DRAMA! I love the two leads and their acting. THEIR CHEMISTRY IS SO GOOD! 🔥 I love watching the female lead's wall starting to crack and the two leads getting closer. The female lead is also SUCH A BADASS!! We appreciate a strong female lead. It is nice seeing the male lead not be in another high school drama and being a character closer to his age. I also am liking the group of students and supporting characters we are getting. I always love these types of ensemble cast dramas. There are also SO MANY characters in this drama that I want to see that they get what they deserve by the end of this drama. 😂 The mystery in this drama is good too. I have lots of theories.
KVARIETY
Queendom 2 - I am thinking I need to go back and watch Queendom Season 1 after I am done watching this. We got more interactions between the groups now so, that has been fun to watch. I am still very much entertained by all the performances and I am looking forward to the rest of the episodes.
JDRAMAS
Old Fashion Cupcake - I started this new Japanese BL drama in the past week. It is cute and short. I have not watched either one of these 2 actors in anything else which I am always happy about getting introduced to new actors and actresses. The 2 leads have a nice, easy chemistry which I like. I am a sucker for a good old workplace drama AND THEN you add food into the mix and this is GOLD! Their casual flirting is nice to see as well.
Senpai, I'm in Love - I started this new Japanese BL drama yesterday. I only have seen the first episode so; I need more episodes to really have an opinion. I liked it though. I am looking forward to seeing how the 2 leads' relationship will blossom and grow throughout the episodes. The first episode also took turns in the plot that I was not expecting so, I am a fan of that. The two lead characters are so cute and fun to watch too. Their inner thoughts are hilarious.
THAI DRAMAS
KinnPorsche - I am behind on this drama by a couple of episodes but I am still enjoying it. I do wish we got more screen time for the other couples. I hear that will change in the episodes I have not seen yet. I appreciate that this drama is different with new themes and plot points I have not seen in any other Thai BL drama yet. I am having a lot of fun with this one. The entire cast is do an AMAZING job acting. I can't wait to see how this drama wraps up.
I am starting a few more dramas in the next couple of weeks. Not a lot of Kdramas announced for July and for the ones that have been announced, I only have access to one of them so far. WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS IN JULY! I should have a good mix of dramas that I am watching though.
