September is a mixed bag when it comes to my watchlist. I am watching some new/airing dramas but I am also watching multiple dramas that are re-watches. I NEVER REWATCH DRAMAS but here I am watching 2 dramas that I have seen already. 😂 I am also watching dramas from various countries which is good for me and you guys who read my blog. It keeps things interesting for me since there is variety in my watchlist. It keeps things interesting for you guys because you get variety to read about on the blog.
I still am in support of the strike that is going on against certain streaming platforms. All of the dramas I am currently watching are not on those struck streaming sites. I have a list a mile long of dramas I need and want to write about eventually when all of this is over. STREAMING SITES - PAY EVERYONE THEIR FAIR SHARE ALREADY!!!
Remember if I put *ADDICTED* next to any drama, that means I AM LOVING THE DRAMA!
KDRAMAS
Flower of Evil - Flower of Evil is the first of the dramas that I am currently re-watching. As you might know, I frequently am on The Kthree's Youtube channel. Well Jenn from The Kthree invited me and a couple of other podcasters to do a weekly re-watch podcast with her. Our first kdrama we are re-watching is Flower of Evil. I loved Flower of Evil when I first watched it so, this re-watch has been interesting so far. Seeing if I like it as much as I did or noticing things, I might have not noticed the first time. You can watch the first episode of the Flower of Evil podcast here and/or listen to the episode where you normally listen to your podcasts.
My Lovely Liar - I am SEVERELY behind on this drama and it ends this coming week. I also got spoiled on some major plot points. I predicted some of the spoilers so, it wasn't surprising or anything. I will say once I am spoiled on something, I am less inclined to watch it right away. I am still enjoying this drama and I do plan to finish it. I just got spoiled on it which is why I am so behind on it.
The Escape of The Seven: War for Survival - I did not watch Penthouse. I tried to watch the first episode and for some reason did not continue after the first episode of season 1. Here I am trying to watch Escape of The Seven which is made by the same director and written by the same writer as the Penthouse series. At least I know what I have gotten myself into. This Kdrama is VERY makjang. NO ONE (so far) is likable which I heard is also the case with the Penthouse series. I am here for the makjang crazy. So, we will see what happens with this drama. If you are a fan of the Penthouse series, you will like this drama.
The Witch's Game - I have made progress in this drama. I will say I wish the Main female lead would forgive her mother and they actually had a relationship. I am sure that will happen eventually but it is moving slow for me. We still have a ways to go with this drama but I think I will finish it by the end of the year.
CDRAMAS
Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms - Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms is the second drama I am re-watching for a future podcast episode I will be recording. Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms was my first Xianxia cdrama I ever watched. It has been interesting to re-watch this drama. It has been interesting to see what I remember and/or notice with this second watch. The future podcast episode will be fun to record because myself and the other guest has seen this drama before so, it is a re-watch for the both of us and the host has never seen the drama before. I am currently in one of my least favorite parts of the drama though so, the momentum of my re-watch has slowed down a bit.
Dear Mr. Hermitage - I like this drama so far. It is one of those cdramas that is an easy watch where you don't have to think so much. I don't think I have watched the male lead actor in anything before. I like him so far. I am curious about him and will probably check out some of his other dramas. I have watched the actress who is playing the female lead and I like her. She was the reason I clicked play on this one. There is nothing that is ground breaking with this drama but it is entertaining and an easy watch. So far, I have only watched the first 4 episodes.
Forever and Ever - I have stated this before on the blog but One and Only is one of my favorite cdramas. I am now just getting to watching the follow-up drama Forever and Ever now. I should have watched this already, right after I finished One and Only. I watched the first 5 episodes in one sitting so that should tell you how much I love Forever and Ever so far. I may be a little bias because I love the two leads. I love seeing them on my screen again. It has been nice just seeing the two leads together again as a couple.
My Journey to You - I failed in watching this as it aired as I always do with cdramas. 😂 I am only on episode 3 or 4 and it ends next week. This is another drama where I have been spoiled on pretty much everything that will happen in the plot and with the end of it. It is a beautiful drama and I am enjoying what I have watched. I do plan on continuing to watch it and finish it though. I just will know what is coming up and how it will all end.
Return the World to You - This drama is sort of on the back burner due to all of the other dramas I have started recently but I do plan on completing this drama. I have not encountered anything that tells me why I put it on my on-hold list in the first place. If you remember, I pulled this off my on-hold list for my On-Hold 2023 challenge.
THAI DRAMAS
To Sir, With Love - I still have only watched the first episode of this drama. I enjoyed the first episode but I have not watched more episodes yet. This drama definitely has been put on the back burner while I watch other dramas. I also plan on picking this back up again and watching more episodes.
That wraps up my list of what I am currently watching in September 2023. I started some new dramas. As I pointed out, I am re-watching some dramas for some future podcast episodes so look forward to that. I don't think I am going to end up finishing a lot of dramas in September which means October is going to be WHIRLWIND of starting and finishing dramas. I think I am going to be watching many of these dramas for a while. 😂
