October is over. Did everyone spend the month watching spooky dramas and movies? Did you spend the month just watching anything and not having a theme? We now only have 2 months until the end of 2022 and moving into the holiday season.
DRAMAS/MOVIES I COMPLETED IN OCTOBER
Unlike past years, I think since I am behind on a lot of dramas, I did not spend the month of October watching scary or spooky dramas. I just watched what I wanted. I tried to finish the dramas I was currently watching and I was somewhat all over the place when it came to genres and countries. I still did not finish all the dramas I wanted to finish this month but it was definitely better than September.
Once Again (Kdrama) (VIKI): WARNING - you will not like this drama if you don't like sad endings. THAT BEING SAID, despite the ending, I LOVED THIS DRAMA! Probably one of my favorite Korean BL dramas. I thought the leads had great chemistry. Their acting was AMAZING! I loved the concept of the story. The OSTS were also memorable and good.
Let Me Introduce Her (Kdrama) (VIKI): Another daily drama is in the books. This was an okay drama. It could have been better. I think I was comparing it too much to Love in Sadness WHICH I LOVED! It had great acting and the leads had good chemistry. I was not very satisfied by some of the character's endings. I also felt like there were some loose plot threads by the end of the drama that were never tied up.
Rinko-San Wants to Try (Jdrama) (VIKI): If you are looking for a quick and cute Japanese drama to binge, I recommend this one. The lead couple have FANTASTIC chemistry. I loved how their relationship started and progressed. I loved that the second leads were not annoying. The only thing that drove me nuts was the trope of NO COMMUNICATION! IT DROVE ME NUTS!!
Takara-Kun to Amagi-Kun (Jdrama) (VIKI): This drama had an intriguing start. The main couple were cute and they had a nice chemistry. I loved the friendships that they all had. It had some nice twists that I did not expect. I do wish that there was more. It ended and I wanted more. It moved to slow for me.
Glitch (Kdrama) (NETFLIX): This drama surprised me. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS DRAMA! If you are a fan of sci-fi then you should check this drama out. I loved that it was unpredictable and that you never knew what was real. FANTASTIC ACTING FROM THE ENTIRE CAST! I loved the found family. We all know I love that trope. Some of the threads were not connected by the end of the drama but it was a fun watch.
Young Actor's Retreat (KVariety Show) (VIKI): I looked forward to this show EVERY WEEK! I LOVED IT SO MUCH! It was way too short. I loved seeing all the actors get to know each other and interact with each other. I laughed every week and I loved learning more about all the actors on the show. I hope we get a second season or more variety shows like this one.
Take 1 (KVariety Show) (NETFLIX): This Kvariety show was A LOT of fun to watch. If you are looking for an easy and entertaining watch, try this show out. I liked that the show picked different genres and a range of artists to feature in this show. I loved that each artists had their own ideas and creativity. It made each episode new and interesting for me. I loved how you got to know some of the artist's story and background through this show. I hope we get a second season!
House of the Dragon (American Show) (HULU): I am very glad I watched this show. IT WAS FANTASTIC! I loved being introduced to all the characters and seeing the different generations. I loved seeing how the characters and relationships progressed through the season. It had some exciting parts and the acting was AMAZING! I mean we also had dragons so there is that. I can't wait for the next season!
NEW NOVEMBER 2022 DRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR:
There are not a lot of dramas in November that I am interested in. That is probably a good thing because my life will be quite chaotic over the next couple of months. I am not blind though. There are still a few dramas that I am definitely clicking play on if/when I get access to them.
The First Responders (Kdrama): [PREMIERES NOVEMBER 11TH, 2022]
I am SO EXCITED for this drama. I loved shows like ER growing up so, this drama seems like a drama I will like. I can see that this drama might have a lot of found family in it which we know I will always love to see in a drama. The cast is great! I love a good ensemble cast. I am ready to watch the behind the scenes for this drama because of the stunts. I hope it is exciting and heartwarming.
Somebody (Kdrama) (NETFLIX): [PREMIERES NOVEMBER 18TH, 2022]
THIS DRAMA LOOKS SO MUCH CREEPIER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE!! I am excited to see Kim Young Kwang take on this role. We love when we get scary and creepy dramas outside the month of October. My Dramalist says it is also an adaptation of American Psycho which I find fascinating.
Reborn Rich (Kdrama) (VIKI): [PREMIERES NOVEMBER 18TH, 2022]
THIS DRAMA IS FINALLY AIRING! I swear I have seen this drama having a rumored premiere date for at least 6 months now. I love a good reincarnation drama. I love a good revenge drama. This has a powerhouse cast! I am excited to see the plot play out and the satisfaction of a good revenge outcome at the end.
Unlock the Boss (Kdrama) (VIKI): [PREMIERES NOVEMBER 30TH, 2022]
I am not 100% sure if I am going to actually watch this drama but I am curious about it. I love Park Sung Woong. We can do any genre. This seems like it will be a comedic crime drama. I am curious what type of comedy because there are certain types of comedy I don't like. Chae Jong Hyeop being in this drama is also a plus. The plot and concept for this drama intrigues me. I plan to at least check it out and decide from there if I am going to continue watching it
Happy Ending Outside the Fence (Kdrama) (VIKI): [RUMORED TO PREMIERE IN NOVEMBER]
It is a BL drama. I am, OF COURSE, going to support this type of content and watch it. Leo from VIXX is also part of the cast and he is my bias from that Kpop group so, that is just another plus to this drama. We got a writer and a CEO as the main characters. I am looking forward to their dynamic and what the characters' personalities will be like. I pretty much will try out any and all BL dramas.
Unexpected Falling (Cdrama): [PREMIERES NOVEMBER 2ND, 2022]
This synopsis is intriguing. The genres are labeled as crime and thriller. The trailer gives this drama potential. I don't know much about the cast but I always love it when that happens with dramas. We will see what happens if I get access to this drama.
Between Us (Thai Drama) (iQIYI): [PREMIERES NOVEMBER 6TH, 2022]
IT IS FINALLY HERE! The wait is over and I AM SO EXCITED! I have waited for like 2 years for this drama because that is when I watched Until We Meet Again. I LOVED this couple from that drama so, I am SO EXCITED that we are getting a drama concentrated on them and their relationship. I could write a full blog post on just this drama and why I am looking forward to it.
Now, we have come to the end. That is my list of what dramas I finished in October. THAT IS MY LIST OF DRAMAS I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO IN NOVEMBER! We will see what dramas I actually end up starting and what dramas I finish in November. As I said, my life is about to get SUPER crazy so, I will have to determine what will take priority and what will take a back seat.
