GOODBYE 2025 DRAMALAND - HELLO 2026 DRAMALAND

I can't believe I have been doing this "NEW YEAR" post for 5 years now. We hit 5 years on the blog in 2025. A LOT has changed in 2025 for the blog and the NoSleep4Dramas "brand". I can honestly say it has been the most ambitious year for NoSleep4Dramas. I am REALLY curious what 2026 is going to bring in terms of all of the NoSleep4Dramas stuff like the blog, podcast and Youtube Channel. I am also curious what 2026 is going to look like for Asian Dramas.

First let's look back. I say this EVERY YEAR but I do not regret starting this blog back in 2020. I am still enjoying running this blog and everything else that has come out of it like the Podcast and Youtube Channel. I have met some AMAZING people through the blog/podcast/Youtube Channel. I love giving content to you guys and I love nurturing our little drama community we have built about NoSleep4Dramas. It still gives me a space to gush about dramas and also hopefuly provide you guys the space to do so. I may still primarily watch crime/thriller dramas but having this blog/podcast/Youtube Channel as gotten me to watch other genres as well. I have found some real gems over the years. Thank you for always supporting this blog/podcast/Youtube channel and talking dramas with me.

We are almost done with year 2 of the NoSleep4Dramas Podcast which ends on January 31st, 2026. I will forever be grateful to the people who pushed me to start the podcast. I just look forward to what I planned for the Podcast in 2026. I am glad I am still enjoying recording episodes and talking about Asian Dramas with all of you. I added guests to the podcast in 2025 which was a new challenge but also LOTS OF FUN! Thank you to all of the people who are regular hosts now on the NoSleep4Dramas podcast. I can't wait to have you back on the podcast in 2026 along with some new guests. OF COURSE, I GOT TO SHOUTOUT THE DRAMA TRIO! I always love recording with you guys. We have had some memorable episodes in the last 2 years. I get so excited with the podcast, I always have to reign myself in which my big plans and big ambitions of what I want to cover but that also means I am still passionate about what I am creating.

I also started the Youtube Channel for the podcast in 2025 which added ANOTHER challenge for me in 2025. It was a lot harder for me than I thought it would be BUT ALSO a lot of fun. It has allowed me to review a lot more dramas than I could ever do on the podcast. I don't think I am very good with making Youtube videos BUT I find I like it a lot. I am glad this new challenge has worked out and that I am enjoying it. I was very intimidated starting the NoSleep4Dramas Youtube Channel. I still am intimidated but I am excited to see where the Youtube Channel goes in 2026 along with what will happen with the podcast in the new year. I PROMISE I WILL NOT BE STARTING ANYTHING NEW IN 2026! What I am doing is enough...for now. 😂

We know how 2025 dramaland has been for me. We know that 2025 was not a good drama watching year for me for VARIOUS reasons. There were still some gems that I found, and I still watched some great dramas in 2025. It was just a hard year for me. It got better as the year went on BUT MAN IT WAS A ROUGH YEAR! I saw a lot more people checking out Cdramas in 2025. That is something that stood out to me this past year on social media. Even people just moving away from kdramas and trying other dramas from other countries but people gravitating to cdramas really stood out. Crime Kdramas still stood out to me in 2025 with some of the best Kdramas being from the crime genre. People should really try out that genre more in my opinion. 2025 was just not a good year for me and I don't think I was the only one. 2025 was a tough year.

I am hopeful for 2026. I have some things I am really looking forward to in 2026 from dramas to what I plan to release on the podcast/youtube channel to strategies I plan to do to make it a better year for me. I am hopeful that 2026 will be a better year.

I just want to take the opportunity again to thank all of you. I say this as much as I can as well as every year in this blog post. I need to say it again. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO READS THE BLOG, LISTENS TO THE PODCAST, INTERACTS WITH ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND NOW WATCHES A YOUTUBE VIDEO!  I enjoy talking about dramas a lot. I enjoy giving you a space to hear about your favorite dramas and/or meet people to gush about dramas with. NoSleep4Dramas blog/podcast/YouTube channel would not exist without you guys. I see this as a fun hobby for me, and I am glad I can provide this service to all of you. You get content created by me to hopefully entertain you and give you recommendations to go and discover new dramas. It always makes me happy when people DM me saying thank you for the recommendation, I would never have clicked play on this drama without you mentioning it. THAT IS WHY THIS BLOG/PODCAST/YOUTUBE CHANNEL EXISTS!  I want to highlight drams that you might not have heard about and might be dramas that are outside your comfort zone toc heck out. Maybe they are just dramas that flew under the radar.  WHATEVER IT IS - I am grateful that you keep coming back to read my blogposts, listen to the podcast episodes or just DM me to talk about dramas.  THIS WOULD NOT EXIST WITHOUT YOU! Don't worry none of the NoSleep4Dramas content is going anywhere anytime soon. If anything, we are adding to it.

2026 IS ABOUT TO BEGIN! What do you guys want to see in the new year in dramaland? Will you try other genres? Will You finally try a cdrama or a drama from another country other than South Korea? Will the NoSleep4Dramas content not lean so heavy into kdramas in 2026? What characters will entertain us and draw us in? What couples will we root for? What bad guys will we love to hate? What dramas will grab our attention? What new actors/actresses will we meet in the new year and add to our long lists of actors/actresses to follow and check out. What actors/actresses will have breakout performances this year? What type of stories will blow our minds this year? I AM EXCITED FOR 2026! I am ready to say goodbye to 2025.

LET'S WELCOME 2026 - CHEERS TO HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE A BETTER YEAR THAN 2025!
