MY WATCHLIST - APRIL 2026

We are back with another watchlist for April. I am excited to talk about everything I am watching. We got some dramas that are on the backburner. We have some dramas that I am almost done with. We also have some new dramas that I just started. I AM FINALLY WATCHING SOME KDRAMAS!! I can't believe it has only taken me 4 months to click play on some Kdramas and THEY AREN'T EVEN NEW! 😂 So, that means I can start talking about Kdramas first again. Since May is the month that I am largely taking a break from posting content, I hope to get my current watchlist cleaned out between the rest of April and May and come back in June with a whole new current watchlist.
KDRAMAS
Taxi Driver Season 3 - I should have watched this Kdrama 4 months ago, but we are here now. I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE THE TAXI DRIVER SERIES! Do not watch this series if you don't like violence or DARK DARK topics. It deserves all of the trigger warnings. It was fun seeing the crew back together again. MAN, I FORGOT how much Lee Je Hoon and Pyo Ye Jin have chemistry. I hear that this season really concentrated on villains and gave each villain their own poster. They definitely had some prominent actors/actresses' guest as villains and people who had never played a villain before in their career. I watched the first episode of this Kdrama.
The Judge Returns - After watching the first episode of this, I just now want to go and watch The Devil Judge which I still have not watched. The first episode was good. Jisung plays these darker roles well and he did the same in episode 1. I would love to see him play a villain one day. This also needs all of the trigger warnings especially violence. I mean it opens up with a death scene. I am curious the time travel part will affect him. You know Jisung's character is a goner at the end of episode 1. Also, the actor who plays his father-in-lawe is once again playing a villain. This actor is so good at playing villains. Of course, there is also Park Hee Soon who is playing a villain and is brilliant at playing this gangster type character. I think I am going to love Won Ji A's character as well. She is a firecracker for sure.
KVARIETY
Please Take Care of Your Refrigerator Season 2 - I am still watching this show slowly. There are ALOT of episodes and I am very behind. I just watch this show sporadically and when I am too tired to watch anything else. Now that I am almost done with Culinary Class Wars Season 2, I am excited to see some of those chefs show up on this show eventually.
Culinary Class Wars Season 2 - I AM ALMOST DONE WITH THIS SHOW AND I DON'T WANT IT TO END! I love that Season 3 is already announced. I think I will be finishing up this show in April. I think I have 5 episodes or so to go. Multiple of my favs are still alive and I am so excited. Don't spoil the ending but one of my favorites might win it all! I also am very surprised I have not been spoiled on who won this season.
CDRAMAS
The Guilty - I have a couple of more episodes. I still have no idea where this story is going to go. I love that I don't know where this story is going because it is a crime drama. This means it is not predictable to me so far and I can enjoy it more because I can't predict the direction the story is going to go or the ending. The main trio is a highlight in this drama, and I can tell they will become integral in this storyline. The acting in this drama is TOP TIER! I am also still OBSESSED with the OSTs.
The Vendetta of An - This cdrama has sort of taken a back seat while I get some other dramas off my current watchlist. I plan to get back to it soon and I will definitely will have finished it by the next watchlist blogpost.
Blossom - I am still very early on in this Cdrama and I am slowly watching this one. I plan to speed it up a bit and finish it soon. It is still crazy that I am watching this cdrama and Pursuit of Jade at the same time because it is done by the same director. I am still catching similarities as I watch both cdramas. The couple still has not really gotten together but they have met again in the past. The female lead keeps avoiding the male lead right now. I love that she is so smart and is changing her and her family's fate. I do plan to have completed this drama by the time the next current watchlist blogpost gets out.
Love Between Lines - I still have a long way to go in completing this drama, but I need to speed it up. I have to finish this cdrama by the end of the month because I am recording a podcast review for it with a guest. I have watched a few more episodes, but I am definitely behind on it. The male lead is still a green flag. It is still an easy watch, and I can see why it is a favorite this year for a lot of people. I am looking to watching more of it because I have enjoyed what I have watched so far.
The Mirage - I am ALMOST done with this cdrama and I AM LOVING IT! Yes, it does have a lower budget, and you can tell. Yes, there are no traffic stars in this. The acting is good. The great thing about this cdrama is the story. The story is tight and well written. It is this mix between Wuxia, Xianxia and sci-fi. It has lots of great twists and turns and you really can't predict anything. I am not surprised by the high Douban score for this drama. I LOVE our group that is traveling around together. They really have become a great found family. I am really curious how this story is going to end. I am sad more people aren't watching this.
Affinity - WHAT AM I EVEN WATCHING!? 😂 I don't even know but somehow, I keep watching another episode. The main couple definitely have a lot of kiss scenes and have some steamy scenes. I know why everyone was watching this. I am entertained by it but it is obsurd what I am watching and makes no sense. It is a good cdrama to turn your brain off with because nothing makes sense. Would I recommend this to anyone else? I don't know yet.
Pursuit of Jade - I have not watched more of this cdrama. I was working on getting other dramas that I have been watching for longer and has been on my current watchlist longer off my current watchlist. So, I have still liked everything I have watched so far. I am just not that far in it. Also, obviously due to the reason why I clicked play on this cdrama, I also have been SPOILED OVER EVERYTHING! We knew this was going to happen so, I am not bothered by it. I just have seen all the scenes and everything on social media. Probably both reasons on why it is on the back burner. I will get back to it and get immersed in it and complete it before my next current watchlist blogpost.
THAI DRAMAS
Girl from Nowhere Season 1 - This Thai drama has been on my plan to watch list FOREVER! I finally clicked play on episode 1 for 3 reasons. I had not watched a Thai drama in a long time, and I thought why not this one. Second Reason is the reboot just completed airing on Netflix and I wanted to watch it. I figured I would go back and try out the original first. Third reason, I had so many people say I should watch this Thai drama because I would like it. It had that happen again to me. Sammi from the Youtube Channel Sammi's Screen had watched the original and just completed the reboot or was talking about the reboot. I commented that I had not seen it and yet and she said I would love it. EPISODE 1 WAS CRAZY! I still don't know who this girl is but I have theories on who she is because she is not human. This has ALL the TRIGGER WARNINGS and is very dark so, it is not for everyone. The main girl who plays the lead, the actresses' name is Chicha Amatayakul, nicknamed Kitty, she is great in the first episode. This is a mix between horror and thriller and has some really dark themes. If that is your thing, I am sure you will like this.
