DECEMBER 2025 WRAP UP

Well, I guess December is the new November. 😂 I did not complete anything new in the rest of December, but I am writing this on December 27th with a couple of days of December left to go. I CAN'T BELIEVE WE ARE A COUPLE OF DAYS AWAY FROM 2026! I am trying to binge 1 Cdrama and get it done before the end of 2025 and that might be slowing me down a bit. My break in November did seep into December by a week so, maybe that was the cause too. I might be able to complete some dramas and movies before midnight on December 31st. We will have to see what happens. I did take December 31st off from work to just chill and binge watch dramas. We will see what I complete from now to midnight of December 31st, 2025.

DRAMAS/MOVIES I COMPLETED IN DECEMBER

At the time that I am writing this blogpost, I have not completed anything else that I did not already mention in my November Wrap Up + Some blogpost/Podcast Episode. As I have said multiple times, I hope to complete the Medical Examiner Dr. Qin Series before the end of 2025. I have about 10 episodes of that yet to complete so, hopefully I can get that done and then complete some of the shorter jdramas that I started in November completed before it is 2026. We will have to see what happens. If I don't get them done in December 2025, they will definitely be completed in January 2026. If I complete anything before January 2026, I will mention the dramas/movies in my January 2026 wrap-up episode.

High Potential Season 1 (American Show) (HULU): This reminded me of old school crime shows like Bones which I liked. The main duo has GREAT chemistry & banter. The crimes were interesting. I LOVED the female lead’s family dynamic. It ended on a cliffhanger so, I am happy I can dive right into s2. I binged this in 2 days. I am curious if the main duo will ever have a romantic storyline because they definitely have the chemistry for it. I also want more stories with the side characters because they are great as well. I loved the found family within this as well.

DRAMAS I DROPPED IN DECEMBER 2025

Ms. Incognito (Kdrama) (VIKI): I loved the first 2 episodes. Once the Kdrama hit the middle episodes in the village, I lost interest. I didn't care about the townspeople or most of the support characters. I did not like the tonal shift from crime/thriller to slice of life in the country. Slice of life is just not for me AT ALL!

NEW JANUARY 2026 DRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR

I might be watching A LOT in January, or I might just be starting a few new things during the first month of 2026. There is only 1 kdrama I am excited for that is coming in January BUT December has had a lot of good dramas come out so, I might click play on some in January once I have cleared some things out of my current watchlist. REMEMBER I AM GOING TO TRY NOT WATCHING AIRING DRAMAS AS THEY AIR IN 2026 AND SEE HOW THAT WORKS FOR ME! That being said, I still have a few dramas to talk about.

The Judge Returns (Kdrama) (Rumor is VIKI) [PREMIERES JANUARY 2ND, 2026]

This has not been confirmed for any streaming platform internationally, but it is rumored for VIKI. I want to watch this, but it depends if it will be available on a streaming site internationally. This is the only new Kdrama in January I am really looking forward too. It is about a judge who defies his superiors' orders and sentences a powerful chairman to life in prison. He dies because of that decision. He is reborn with all of his memories and is given a second chance at life. I LOVE A GOOD REBIRTH STORY! ESPECIALLY if it has a revenge story angle which this sounds like it does. The cast also seems good with Ji Sung, Park Hee Soon, Won Jin A and Tae Won Seok all a part of the cast. The Judge Returns reminds me I need to still watch The Devil Judge still.

The Boyfriend Season 2 (Japanese Dating Show) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES JANUARY 13, 2025]

YOU KNOW I AM GOING TO BE ALL OVER THIS DATING SHOW WHEN IT AIRS!! I probably will wait until it is over or almost over before I start it though. I was OBSESSED with Season 1 of this show. TO NO ONE'S SURPRISE, I am excited for Season 2, and I am so happy that it is premiering in the middle of January. I am hoping that I have better luck with this season than I did with Season 1 and my favorites actually get some happy endings or at least go on a lot of dates. None of my favorites ended up with anyone by the end of Season 1. I hope Season 2 is just as good and as addictive as Season 1 was.

Love Through a Prism (Anime) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES JANUARY 15, 2025]

This Anime caught my eye when it popped up on Netflix's Coming Soon Section. I will probably wait to binge this once it is complete. It is about a Japanese exchange student who goes to early 1900s London for art school to be a painter. There she meets a group of students, and she becomes friends and acquaintances with a bunch of them. She also meets Kit Church who is an aristocrat student with whom she might start a romance within the anime. The anime looks beautifully animated. I also love the setting of 1900s London which you don't see a lot in anime. I hope with the ensemble cast we get other relationships and romances as well. This just looked unique and stood out for something to look forward to in January 2026. You know, I always want to watch a variety of things to talk about on this blog and podcast. I have not watched an anime in a few months now.

RUMORED CDRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR THAT MIGHT AIR IN JANUARY 2026

I want to try something new in 2026 so, I am testing it in my December 2025 Wrap Up Post. I don't usually talk about rumored dramas but sometimes that means I only talk about Kdramas in my dramas I am looking forward too. This works if I have a TON of Kdramas I am looking forward to but sometimes that doesn't work like January 2026 because I am only looking forward to 1 Kdrama. I also want to be stricter in what I click play on with Kdramas in 2026 because I did not have much luck with kdramas in 2025. SO, I want to talk about some rumored Cdramas (or other dramas that are not Kdramas) in the upcoming month. Now, do you guys like when we talk about rumored dramas or will that break your heart if they don't actually air in the rumored month? Let me know... AND THESE ARE ONLY THE RUMORED CDRAMAS I AM INTERESTED IN! There might be more rumored cdramas that I am not interested in checking out.

Fate Chooses You (rumored for January)

YOU ALL KNOW WHY I AM EXCITED FOR FATE CHOOSES YOU! Ren Jia Lun stars in something, I am excited for it. He is one of my favorite Chinese actors OF COURSE - as I have said. The supporting cast also has some good people like Riley Wang. This definitely has a fantasy element to it which I always like. The costumes looks beautiful. The fight scenes look exciting. I think the trailer makes this cdrama look good. So, I have high hopes for this cdrama. I ALSO have not watched a Ren Jia Lun cdrama in a while even though he is one of my favorites. I have yet to watch any of his dramas from 2025.

Love Between Lines (rumored for January 9th)

This cdrama has a lot of things I am looking forward too. It has a cool concept where it is a modern day set drama but also a Republican Era set cdrama due to part of it taking place in a murder mystery game set in the Republican Era. I am so curious how that is going to work out with the dual narratives. OF COURSE, with it being a murder mystery game, that already interests me because I love a good murder mystery to solve. We know Chen Xing Xu and Lu Yu Xiao will look great in Republican Era Costume. I also like both of these actors as well.

Swords into Plowshares (rumored for January 15th)

THIS CDRAMA'S PRODUCTION BUDGET LOOKS INSANE! This gives me the same vibes as the production value of the The Longest Day in Chang'An. It is supposed to be a longer cdrama but this drama looks like it needed the extra episodes. The episode count might intimidate some people. I am excited for how grand this cdrama looks. I also LOVE Bai Yu and I have not watched him in a drama in A WHILE! The rest of the cast looks stacked as well with some GREAT veteran actors and just talented actors. I hope I get access to this one somewhere internationally - on a streaming site or Youtube.

The Truth (rumored for Early January 2026)

I have been waiting for this crime cdrama for a bit. I love a good crime cdrama. It has a good cast and seems interesting. Apparently, it is based on real life cases that used technology to solve them. I think this drama was filmed a while ago so hopefully you don't see the age too much. I like the cast so, I am curious who will be who and what the professions will be that will be showcased in this cdrama other than just cop. We, OF COURSE, have older cop and younger cop teaming up but who else will be involved?

Generation to Generation (Rumored for January, 2026)

I don't think I have seen anyone in this cast but sometimes that is a good thing. It introduces us to new actors/actresses we might end up liking. This looks like a wuxia drama so, I am looking forward to some great fight scenes. The trailer looks good and looks like both the male and female lead can hold their own in battle. The posters also look really pretty for this drama. We will see if it surfaces in January or not.
