I AM BACK!! I took November off from the blog and podcast. The goal during this break was to clear off my current watchlist as much as possible. I think I was pretty DAMN successful with this whether I completed the drama or dropped it. Now, given that I am posted this on December 10 and not December 3, I am including that first week of December in this Wrap Up as well. I will probably still repeat myself when it comes to December Wrap Up, but I wanted to include this first week in December because I was technically still on break. Hence the "+ SOME" in the title. I also have 1 review from October that I will put in this Wrap-Up post because I had yet to watch it at the time when I released the October Wrap Up Post.

DRAMAS/MOVIES I COMPLETED IN NOVEMBER

It feels good to be back. I want to finish 2025 off strong. One thing I had to do was clear out my current watchlist in November while on my break, that is exactly what I did. I was pretty successful in my opinion. My current watchlist is not 100% empty but I whittled it down as much as I wanted too. This means I completed some dramas, but I also dropped some dramas which does not happen every month. It was a mix again for the month of November from countries to ratings.

BUT FIRST - my last mini review from October.

Mobius (Cdrama)(iQIYI): This is a solid crime cdrama but I’ve seen better. I loved the time travel concept, but it did get a little messy. It has a lot of loose threads and unanswered questions at the end. Action scenes were fantastic. Bai Jing Ting looked great doing action scenes. The acting was good, but some cast members acted better than others. I did not need the romance AT ALL. It was also a little too long. If you want a more in-depth review of this Chinese drama, go over to the Tea and Soju Podcast and listen to the Drama Trio's review of Mobius.

RATING: 8/10

ALRIGHT - Now onto what I completed in November + SOME

Usotoki Rhetoric (Jdrama) (VIKI): If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan, you will love this. I loved the main duo. I loved the found family. It had a variety of cases that had some great twists, but I did find some more interesting. I loved the food shots because the main characters were always eating. I wish I got more background on some of the side characters.

RATING: 8/10

A Calm and Beautiful Days with You (Jdrama) (VIKI): This is a very cute, low angst drama. Sometimes a little too sweet for me which made me cringe. I loved both couples and their relationship progression. It was hilarious sometimes. I loved the found family. It kind of ended abruptly which was unexpected.

RATING: 8.5/10

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (American Movie) (NETFLIX): My favorite of the movies. It has a great cast & acting. So many twists & turns which made it fun to watch and engaging. The humor was funny & witty. I saw this in theaters & that was TOTALLY worth it! Daniel Craig was ever so charming as ever as his character. This movie is very entertaining and a MUST WATCH! Especially if you are a fan of the Knives Out franchise.

RATING: 10/10

Medical Examiner Dr. Qin: Mind Reader (Cdrama) (VIKI): This is a solid entry for Medical Examiner Dr Qin. I loved that it was prequel. I loved the bromance. I liked the found family, but it could have been better. None of the attempted romances worked for me. I just could not get into them. Some of the acting was stiff as well especially with the female lead. TW: Gore

RATING: 8/10

+SOME:

High Potential Season 1 (American Show) (HULU): This reminded me of old school crime shows like Bones which I liked. The main duo has GREAT chemistry & banter. The crimes were interesting. I LOVED the female lead’s family dynamic. It ended on a cliffhanger so, I am happy I can dive right into s2. I binged this in 2 days. I am curious if the main duo will ever have a romantic storyline because they definitely have the chemistry for it. I also want more stories with the side characters because they are great as well. I loved the found family within this as well.

RATING: 10/10

DRAMAS I DROPPED IN NOVEMBER + SOME

I dropped 3 dramas in November 2025 and 1 drama so far in December 2025.

Love in Pavilion (Cdrama) (iQIYI): This one hurt to drop. I wanted to like this SO MUCH! I am a huge fan of the male lead and female and wanted this drama to work out for them. I also love the genre so, I thought this was a win for me. Something was just not working with me so, I ultimately just dropped it instead of waste my time just to complete it.

Lover or Stranger (Cdrama) (VIKI): Victoria Song's character was annoying THE HELL OUT OF ME! I also think I figured out the ending so, I got bored because the mystery was gone.

First Lady (Kdrama) (VIKI): I got spoiled with the ending and heard that the last episode was bad so, I ultimately decided it wasn't worth my time since I had only watched 2 episodes.

+SOME

Ms. Incognito (Kdrama) (VIKI): I loved the first 2 episodes. Once the Kdrama hit the middle episodes in the village, I lost interest. I didn't care about the townspeople or most of the support characters. I did not like the tonal shift from crime/thriller to slice of life in the country. Slice of life is just not for me AT ALL!

NEW DECEMBER 2025 DRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR

WHY DOES EVERYTHING GOOD RELEASE IN THE LAST MONTH OF THE YEAR!!? It always happens! I am not going to have time to watch all this stuff so, we will have to see what I pick up when the dramas finish. I am glad to have cleared out my current watchlist in November so, I have room to start new dramas. I just now have to choose dramas strategically because I know I still don't have a lot of time to watch dramas in December. WHICH IS WHY IT IS PROBLEM THAT EVERYTHING GOOD IS RELEASING IN DECEMBER!

ree

The Price of Confession (Kdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES DECEMBER 5, 2025]

This Kdrama is on my radar for 2 reasons. One is an obvious one. It is a crime Kdrama so, OBVIOUSLY it caught my eye. Teh second reason is the powerful duo of Jeon Do Yeon and Kim Go Eun. The rest of the cast is stacked as well. This is such a drastic genre change for both of the female leads - a dark and gritty crime drama. At least, I have not seen them act within this genre before. I am sure with this cast that the acting is going to TOP TIER! I mean who doesn't want to see Kim Go Eun play a crazy criminal which I know she will kill this role.

Silent Tides (Cdrama) (IQIYI) [PREMIERES DECEMBER 8, 2025]

We have been waiting for this cdrama FOREVER! It was rumored to be released in December, and it looks like that rumor is coming true. Apparently this cdrama was made to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the war of resistance against Japanese aggression. So, this is going to be on the more serious side. I am excited because it is another drama from Allen ren who is one of my favorite cdrama actors which I have said before. I also like when he does dramas in this era because he looks great in these costumes. I want to get more into this genre with espionage and things so this is definitely on my radar.

ree

Chao Gan Mi Gong (Cdrama) [PREMIERES DECEMBER 9, 2025]

The main thing that drew me to this drama is the cast. I love Shawn Dou and Duan Yi Hong so, to have them in a drama together piqued my interest. I think both actors fit very well into the crime drama and I am excited to see them act as partners. I also love the trope where you have an older man and younger man become partners to solve a crime. In this case it is a professor and I think a cop, I could not find if Shawn Dou's character a cop or just a citizen, teaming up. It looks dark and gritty and Shawn Dou's character from the trailer could be kind of crazy. I am here for this crime drama and possibly good chemistry between the 2 leads. Hopefully we get some bromance out of it.

Had I Not Seen the Sun Part 2 (Tdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES DECEMBER 11, 2025]

So, I talked about Part 1 of the Tdrama back in my October Wrap Up, so, I am not going to talk about it in length again. When I found out that the Taiwanese drama was going to be split into 2 parts, I figured I would wait until Part 2 came out in December before I watched the drama. Now, we are getting part 2 on December 11th so, I am excited to finally get to dive into this tdrama. As I said in October, I have been waiting FOREVER for this drama since it was announced. I have heard part 1 was good so, I am excited to start it now in December.

ree

The Vendetta of An (Cdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES DECEMBER 12, 2025]

I am excited that I have other dramas from other countries to talk about this month instead of just kdramas. This cdrama sounds like a drama that is right up my alley. It has mystery. It is a historical on top of that and I have said many times I love historical mysteries. It is a revenge drama which we all love a good revenge story. You can't go wrong with white/gray haired male leads either. I am a little worried that it was cut down to 28 episodes so, I hope it flows well.

Culinary Class Wars Season 2 (KVariety) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES DECEMBER 16, 2025]

ONE OF MY FAVORITE COMPETITION SHOWS IS BACK THIS MONTH! I was obsessed with Season 1 as it aired so, I KNOW I will be obsessed with season 2 as it airs. I am trying to still decide if I am going to watch this as it airs or wait until it is done and binge it. IT WAS AGONY watching it as it aired with season 1. I also don't want to be spoiled with it though. Either way, I AM SO EXCITED FOR SEASON 2 TO BE COMING OUT IN DECEMBER!

ree

10Dance (JMovie) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES DECEMBER 18, 2025]

I feel like I have already watched this movie with the number of edits I have seen on all of the social media platforms just using clips from the trailer. Given how many edits I have already seen with just the trailer, I am sure this movie is going to break the internet when we can actually watch the full movie. 😂Machida Keita and Takeuchi Ryoma are both fantastic actors and I never pictured them together playing a couple. I AM HERE FOR IT! The trailer looks spicy.

ree

The Great Flood (KMovie) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES DECEMBER 19, 2025]

Another movie that I feel like we have been waiting forever for. I heard about this movie at the beginning of 2025 and we are finally getting it in December 2025. I love a good disaster movie and this one looks intense. People keep saying that Song Kang and Junho are Netflix's poster boy - I want to put Park Hae Soo in the running because MY GOD he has been in SO MANY Netflix Kdramas and Kmovies. Every kdrama he has worked on in the last 5 or 6 years has been a Netflix Kdrama except for 1. He is also in the Great Flood. I hope it is a good movie.

ree

I Dol I (Kdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES DECEMBER 22, 2025]

I never thought we would get a Kpop idol/lawyer kdrama but here we are. I thought this would be a fun romcom, but the trailer shows that it will have some very serious moments too. I love Kim Jae Young so, I am happy to see him back with a new Kdrama. His acting is always so good. Of course, Choi Soo Young as the female lead is great to see as well. I have not watched any of her recent Kdramas so, I am curious what she will do with this role. Kim Won Hae is also a part of this cast which IMMEDIATELY tells me this is a great Kdrama because anything he is in, turns out to be good.

ree

Made in Korea (Kdrama) (HULU/Disney +) [PREMIERES DECEMBER 24, 2025]

THE CAST ALONE GETS ME EXCITED FOR THIS DRAMA! We have a lot of heavy hitters in this cast. MDL does point out that this will have a Season 2 FYI so, I might wait to watch this when Season 2 comes out. We have some people in this Kdrama who have not been in a Kdrama in 5 years or 3 years so, it is exciting to see them back in a kdrama. Given that this Kdrama is a political thriller, I HOPE IT IS GOOD! I don't know much about the plot so, the cast is what is really drawing me to this kdrama.

ree

Cashero (Kdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES DECEMBER 26, 2025]

When I first read the synopsis of this Kdrama, I did not picture it being a comedy and thought the concept of the story would play out differently than what we saw in the plot. I love a good superhero story so, I am still interested in watching this Kdrama but the comedy is not what I signed up for. Sometimes comedy works well with this type of series so, I am still interested in checking it out. I mean you can't go wrong with Junho and Kim Hye Joon as a part of the cast. I also hear that Kang Han Na and Lee Chae Min are playing villains. It is always fun to see actors/actresses play villains, especially if they have never played a villain before. It is done by the same writers as Sisyphus the Myth and we know how messy that was, so we will have to wait and see how this one turns out.
