Another Kdrama review went live on the blog and podcast this week. Naturally, I needed to release a HIDE & SEEK blogpost to accompany that review. If this is the first time you have come across my HIDE & SEEK series, this blogpost series is all about the actors and actresses in a drama. I write a review on a certain drama and then you can come to this blogpost. Within this blogpost, if you liked a particular actor or actress in the drama I just reviewed, you can find suggestions on what dramas or movies to watch them in next.
THIS WEEK AS YOU CAN SEE - IT IS ABOUT THE KDRAMA A SHOP FOR KILLERS!
I loved this drama so much. I know a lot of people also enjoyed this drama. So, I needed to do a review because I needed to talk about it. I am sure a lot of people have already watched some of these actor/actresses in other dramas/movies but I am sure there are other actors/actresses that A Shop for Killers was the first drama people saw them in. This is why I do this blogpost series.
LEE DONG WOOK as Jung Jin Man
I am sure A LOT of people know Lee Dong Wook from Goblin where he played the Grim Reaper. The first thing I ever saw him was the movie The Beauty Inside and Blade Man. Goblin came out a year after The Beauty Inside. I have also seen him in dramas such as Touch Your Heart (if you want a Rom-Com), Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1 & 2, Strangers from Hell and Bad and Crazy.
KIM HYE JOON as Jung Ji Ahn
I have only seen Kim Hye Joon in a few things. The first thing I saw her in was in both Seasons of Kingdom. I also watched her in Just Between Lovers. Inspector Koo was another Kdrama that she is fantastic in. There are a couple of Korean dramas that I have not watched her in yet but she is in Connect and Reunited Worlds just to name a few more.
GEUM HAE NA as So Min Hye
I have only seen Geum Hae Na in one thing before A Shop for Killers. That was the movie The Villainess which she really was in the movie just for a short while. If you want a good movie to watch, The Villainess is a GREAT movie. That is the only thing I have ever seen her in. She was a standout actress and character in A Shop for Killers. She has been in quite a few movies though and only one other drama. She did a Guest Role in Run On. She also showed up in movies such as Kim Ji Young: Born 1982 and The Boy from Nowhere.
KIM MIN as Pasin
A Shop for Killers is Kim Min's first support role. He has had guest roles in Sisyphus: The Myth, Big Bet, Black Knight and Song of the Bandits before A Shop for Killers. He also has shown up in movies such as King of Prison and The Roundup: No Way Out.
LEE TAE YOUNG as "Brother"
"Brother" is played by the actor Lee Tae Young. The first time I saw this actor, he was a support role in the 2020 Kdrama Search. He also had some guest roles in Taxi Driver, Little Women and My Dearest. He has done quite a few guest roles in movies such as Swing Kids and Quantum Physics.
PARK JI BIN as Bae Jung Min
Park Ji Bin plays villains SO WELL! I know a lot of people know him from Blind. I think I first saw him in my first Kdrama eve which was Boys Over Flowers. He was YOUNG in that because he started out as a child actor. You might recognize him from Stars Falling From the Sky, Big Issue, Inspector Koo and The Killer's Shopping List (which he plays a very interesting character).
SEO HYUN WOO as Lee Sung Jo
What HASN'T Seo Hyun Woo been in? This guy has been acting for a while and has been in support roles ALL OVER THE PLACE! He is such a versatile actor and can any genre. He has done movies and Kdramas. One of his most famous roles I think was the reporter in Flower of Evil. I loved him the SF8 Mini Series. If you have not seen the SF8 drama specials, you are in for a treat. He was in the comedy movie Secret Zoo and the movie Love and Leashes. He has shown up in Kdramas such as The Lies Within, Celebrity and My Mister.
JO HAN SUN as Bale
Jo Han Sun has popped up in both movies and Kdramas. I first watched him in She Knows Everything which is a mini kdrama. He also was in Hot Stove League which I think a lot of people have seen him in. I also saw his guest role in the Kdrama Mask. He has been in movies like Temptation of Wolves, A Better Tomorrow and A History of Jealousy.
