March 2026 WRAP UP

I know I said that I would complete a lot in March. Well surprise, surprise, that did not happen. I am still happy with the month, and I am enjoying what I am watching currently. It is always the push and pull to start new dramas to talk about them but also get dramas off your current watchlist. I kind of am just watching whatever, old and new dramas and at my own pace. I do need to speed up and get some dramas off my current watchlist though - especially the ones that have been there since January. It is difficult sometimes when you have to watch dramas for podcast recordings and things, but my mood and mental health are better in 2026 so, I am happy. It also doesn't help that I am still obsessed with Pokemon Pokopia and I am playing that a lot. 😂

DRAMAS/MOVIES I COMPLETED IN MARCH 2026
Everything I completed in March was for a podcast episode. You can already read/listen to my review on the Rurouni Kenshin movies (here) and I have an upcoming review on Coroner's Diary coming out on someone else's podcast. So, I guess March was successful due to the podcast episodes being out there so, I can talk more about them. I am ALMOST done with another drama, but I just didn't quite finish it in March, so, you will hear that review in multiple ways in April.
Rurouni Kenshin (JMovie) (NETFLIX): Now I see why everyone has been telling me to watch these live adaptions. Now could I nitpick - yes such as I didn’t really care about Kaoru and Yahiko (yet), but I won’t because this was a masterpiece even if it is almost 15 years old. It does show its age a bit but is still an awesome movie. I can’t wait to watch the others in the series. I vaguely remember the anime since I watched it nearly 30 years ago so this will be fun. It had AMAZING fight scenes! It also had AMAZING OSTs/instrumental.
RATING: 10/10
Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno (JMovie) (NETFLIX): This seemed a bit like a filler movie in some spots to get to the next movie especially with the ending BUT that doesn’t mean it wasn’t FANTASTIC! The fight scenes were yet again amazing! I loved the OSTs. I found a new favorite character in this movie - can’t wait to watch the next one. How did people survive having to wait multiple years for the next movie?!
RATING: 10/10
Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends (JMovie) (NETFLIX): THE FIGHT SCENES IN THIS MOVIE WERE INSANE! It is a great conclusion to the story arc. I did have some nitpicks about the story like it seemed very fast taking out the bad guys BUT I can ignore them. I LOVED the OSTs. I loved the found family in these movies. I can’t believe it took me this long to watch this series. Just such an entertaining movie.
RATING: 10/10
Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning (JMovie) (NETFLIX): I could be nitpicky about this movie as well and bring down my rating a bit, but I won’t. It had a beautiful story & I loved how it related to the other films. It was a little slow, but it built to the ending. It did not have as many fight scenes in this one. It has beautiful cinematography and OST. I am VERY excited to watch the last movie in the series
RATING: 10/10
Rurouni Kenshin: The Final (JMovie) (NETFLIX): I am going to sound like a broken record here BUT THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING! I can see why this movie had a favorite villain in it. The fighting again was amazing! The OSTs were great! It is a great conclusion to the entire movie series. I also loved that a lot of the characters from the previous movies came back. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND not just this movie but all the movies in the series.
RATING: 10/10
Coroner's Diary (Cdrama) (IQIYI): If you want a historical crime cdrama with great chemistry & multiple couples - watch this! Some cases were better than others but lots of good twists. Some cases lasted an episode to long & I wanted some different endings with some villains BUT couples were great! I liked that the main couple really had no angst and were a smart pairing together. MALE LEAD HAD IT BAD and he was smitten immediately
RATING: 9/10

DRAMAS I DROPPED IN MARCH 2026
I dropped 1 drama in March 2026. It is a drama I should dropped a while ago.
A Graceful Liar (Kdrama) (AMAZON PRIME): I had started this when it aired back in 2025 and I just was not watching it. So, I finally just decided to drop it because why keep something on my currently watching list if I am not watching it.
NEW APRIL 2026 DRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR
THERE IS A TON OF DRAMAS I AM LOOKING FORWARD TOO IN APRIL! THERE ARE A LOT OF DRAMAS WITH CONFIRMED PREMIERE DATES! What is fun is that they are from many countries and on many different streaming sites. I doubt I will get to a lot of them in April, but they have been added to my plan to watchlist. There is a few rumored cdramas for April but not as many as previous months. I still managed to find a few I am excited for though.

Sins of Kujo (Jdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES APRIL 2, 2026]
I need to watch more Jdramas. I am glad Netflix continues to get more Jdramas on their platform. This is a crime Jdrama about a lawyer who handles tough cases for criminals like gangsters and the yakuza. This causes him to not be the most moral lawyer either. He can do shady things to win as well. At least that is what I get from the trailer. It will have 10 episodes, and I am assuming all of the episodes will drop on April 2. Why am I excited for this Jdrama. One reason is it is a crime drama so, that is a given. I also like actors and actresses in the cast like Yagira Yuya, Machida Keita and Ikeda Elaiza. I also like the idea a morally gray lawyer. It isn't anything new, we have seen this in other dramas before, and it is always fun to watch these characters.

Agents from Above (Tdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES APRIL 2, 2026]
This drama RANDOMLY came across my feed on social media. I had no idea what it was about. I will ALWAYS support Taiwanese dramas, especially fantasy Taiwanese dramas because we don't get a lot of them. This is giving me The Ghost Bride vibes and I LOVE IT! If you have not watched The Ghost Bride, that is another fantastic short fantasy Tdrama on Netflix. I honestly don't know much about Agents from Above. It is about the main character who is a spirit medium who is supposed to serve the third crown prince to atone for a childhood mistake. He has to go around and resolve supernatural problems because of this servitude. He meets other people like a detective who can see spirits to help him out. That is all I know about it. The CGI looks great for this drama. It just looks and sounds cool and different. It also sounds like something I will like so, I want to check it out.

Heart Signal Season 5 (KVariety) [PREMIERES APRIL 14, 2026]
I AM A SUCKER FOR THIS SHOW!!! Any time there is a new season whether that is a Korean Season or a Chinese Season. I am excited for it. WE ARE GETTING SEASON 5 OF THE KOREAN SHOW IN APRIL!! People always find it hilarious that I love this show because romance is not my favorite drama genre BUT MAN THIS SHOW IS ADDICTING! There is something special about Korean dating shows. The panelists this season have changed as well. Tsuki who is a member of the kpop girl group BILLLIE has joined the panel and I love her. This is the show where they put 10 people in a house for a month. They date each other and get to know each other, in hopes of finding a romantic match.

Reverse (Kdrama) [PREMIERES ON APRIL 17, 2026]
This Kdrama has been on my radar for a while. I don't know where it might air so, hopefully we will get a location of a streaming site. This is a crime Kdrama so, naturally it is on my radar. It stars Seo Ji Hye and Go Soo, who I both love and I am very curious about them pairing up. It also has one of my favorite tropes which is Amnesia. Seo Ji Hye's character lost her parents in a car accident when she was a kid. She wants revenge and ends up getting into a new car accident as an adult. Now she has to figure out her amnesia while investigating both accidents. It sounds messy and complicated and could be a good time. Not sure what the characters are though. We will see if this one comes out and comes to a streaming site internationally. It is a little weird that a trailer hasn't come out yet when it has a date.

Scarecrow (Kdrama) [PREMIERES APRIL 20, 2026]
I love me a good small-town mystery and Scarecrow is that. It also stars Park Hae Soo and Lee Hee Joon. Both POWERHOUSES when it comes to crime Kdramas and they have collaborated before in crime Kdramas again. I always like seeing them in a crime Kdrama together. It does not have a streaming service yet for international viewers, so we will have to wait and see if it comes to one. Park Hae Soo plays a detective in this small town that has a serial killer. He is forced to partner with Lee Hee Joon's character who is a man he despises. They chase after this serial killer for like 30 years. I am curious if this drama is based off of an actual crime or not. We all know a bunch of crime Kdramas have been based off of its most famous serial killer the Hwaseong Serial Killer so, it could be based off of that killer again. The time period fits. This crime drama is also made by ENA network which is one of my favorite networks in Korea.

If Wishes Could Kill (Kdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES ON APRIL 24, 2026]
Now, I have said this once and I will say it again. I usually don't watch high school dramas anymore UNLESS they are crime or horror dramas. If Wishes Could Kill fits that bill. This reminds me of a Japanese drama, but I don't remember the name. It is about a bunch of high school students who use this mysterious app that promises to grant any wish. Anyone who uses the app though faces a gruesome and unavoidable death. So, now the group has to figure out how to escape the horrible price that app has for using it. If you liked the Kdrama Night Has Come, (which you should check out if you like this genre - it is on VIKI) I think you will like this drama. This drama is apparently an original work as well which makes it interesting.

Straight to Hell (Jdrama) (NETFLIX) [PREMIERES ON APRIL 27, 2026]
I don't know much about this Jdrama but it looks super interesting. It is a historical Jdrama and apparently is based off of a true story. It is about a woman who became Japan's most famous fortune teller. She put herself on tv and radio and made herself an empire with this skill. This drama is based on her rise to fame and power and her life. It just looks like a super interesting and unique story to check out.

Goldland (Kdrama) (HULU/Disney +) [PREMIERES APRIL 29, 2026]
This is a crime drama that is coming out finally at the end of April. We all know that Disney Plus does fantastic crime Kdramas. I have never seen Park Bo Young do a thriller/mystery Kdrama before so, this has me interested. It also sounds like her character is not a good person in this drama, overcome by greed. I also love Kim Sung Cheol and if he plays a villain in this, I know he will do great because he plays villains so well. I am curious if this will be another Karma set up where every character is flawed and no one is a good person. GO WATCH KARMA BY THE WAY! This is about a woman who works as a security screening agent at an international airport. Her boyfriend is a pilot. She accidently receives smuggled gold and becomes obsessed with the gold. Since she becomes involved with the gold, that, of course, brings a lot of bad people into her life.
RUMORED CDRAMAS I AM EXCITED FOR THAT MIGHT AIR IN APRIL 2026
It looks like Cdramaland might be taking a bit of a break in April (famous last words...). There is actually not a lot rumored for April that I have not already mentioned in previous wrap up episodes in 2026. We will see if the ones I have already mentioned actually premiere. There are still a couple of cdramas rumored to air in April. It isn't like cdramas are stopping all together in April. Now, we will see if these do air in April or get pushed like a lot of the ones I already have mentioned have. Rebirth, which I mentioned back in January Wrap-Up post, is rumored to finally air in April. It has a rumored premiere date of April 9th. Born with Luck, which I also mentioned back in my January Wrap-Up Post, is rumored to air in April. The rumored premiere date is April 14th. Fate Chooses You which I also talked about in my January Wrap Up Post is now rumored for April 24th, 2026. So, we will see if these 3 cdramas actually air in April or not.

Blossom (Rumored for April 2026)
Why is everything being name Blossom?! This cdrama is a modern cdrama. I am interested in this drama for 2 reasons. I love a good female lead who is starting at rock bottom story and trying to claw her way back to the top again. Her work as a counselor sounds interesting to watch in this plot but might also have some great dialogue and messaging within it. I also like the male lead actor a lot. He is played by Wang Zi Qi. I have only watched the female lead Zhou Yi Ran in one other cdrama which was Regeneration but that is ok. I liked her in that cdrama so, I am glad that I am excited for another one of her dramas. It is a mango tv drama so, that might be hard to find internationally if you don't use the mango tv app. This is about a counselor who quits after betrayal and has to start over. She opens her own clinic and meets various people including both the male lead and second male lead through this new clinic.

The Epoch of Miyu (Rumored for April)
I have a theme in cdramas, especially modern cdramas, that I gravitate towards and that is female leads who are starting over whether that is professionally or in love. (See Blossom above this). In The Epoch of Miyu, we have the female lead who gets divorced and she starts again as a room attendant at a hotel. She meets our male lead who is the general manager and they start a romance. I love an older adult romance as well.

Fang Yuan Ba Bai Mi (Rumored for April)
Xu Kai's dramas seem to all be gearing up for premieres soon. This is an adventure/crime/thriller drama. This is a 20-episode drama. This is set in a small town in the 1990s. It is about a son and father. I am not sure what makes this a crime drama. I have seen it sometimes described as a psychological thriller. Apparently, there was a conflict between father and Son but again I don't know much about the plot. The father is a police officer apparently or a retired one.

Light to the Night (Rumored for April)
Now Veil of Shadows was rumored for April. Apparently, that has been delayed now and Light to the Night is now rumored in its place. We will see if that is true. This cdrama was filmed a long time ago and just has been sitting on the back burner. It is a crime drama starring Pan Yue Ming (Who I love and is a veteran cdrama actor when it comes to crime dramas) and Dylan Wang which I am sure a lot of people know. This also stars Ren Min. This is about a newly graduated police officer who teams up with an older police officer to investigate the disappearance of a father and daughter.
OLDER DRAMAS I PLAN TO START IN MARCH 2026 DUE TO PODCAST RECORDINGS OR OTHER THINGS:
I have no dramas I plan to start in April for future Podcast episodes so, we will see what I complete in April and what I start. I plan to clear out my watchlist in April and May since I have no dramas I NEED to watch for podcast recordings (yet).
