This month's collection is going to be interesting. I honestly haven't kept track of what posters were released in the past month. So, this post could go two different ways. One way is that it is short because I don't have many posters that I liked. It could also go the direction that this is a long post because I found a lot of posters I love because this is the first time, I am looking at them. All because I really didn't pay attention to posters being posted in the last month.
LET'S SEE WHICH ONE IT IS!
I am SO EXCITED for this drama. The teasers and posters look SO BEAUTIFUL! I am excited to watch this because I am sure the cinematography is going to be GORGEOUS! I know this drama is going to put me through the ringer with emotions but I don't even care. The poster above is just so pretty. I love the color scheme. I love that the couple is off centers so most of the poster is grass. It is just SO GOOD!
The only reason this poster caught my eye and it is in this collection is that I did not recognize Lay Zhang AT ALL! I was just so surprised that it was him. So, it had to be added to this month's collection just for me to point that out.
I have not watched Hidden Love yet. I KNOW, I know - I am sure people are like CAITLIN WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? I must have a green thing this month with posters because between this drama and My Dearest, I apparently love green in posters. Even some posters later on in the blogpost are green. 😂 I loved the color scheme with this poster as well. I liked the lighting with it coming from behind them. It just gives nice, summer vibes. Of course, can't forget the chemistry and the near kiss in the poster as well. You always have to point that out.
I know NOTHING about this drama. There is not a lot of information out there. What drew me to these posters was the hand and water effect. It got me thinking immediately. What does it mean? Is the hand and water supposed to be them? Does it have anything to do with the drama at all? That is how you should do posters. Dramas need posters to draw audiences in. It is even better if the posters make you think about the. I also just thought the water effect and hands were a beautiful and unique look on the poster. For all we know, the water and hands could have NOTHING to do with the drama. we will have to wait and see when it premieres.
Two things stood out to me with these posters. One, the poster has a look that makes it look like it is a canvas. Especially in the background and around the characters. I always love when posters do that. The second thing that stood out is the paint splatter. I love the white paint being splattered all over the poster and characters. I think it gives these posters a unique look. It made these posters stand out to me for sure. I also liked the color scheme with the posters as well. Mostly being black and white and then adding in pops of color.
I loved that these posters had a lot going on with them. First you got all the colors. Then you have the characters in the posters. The posters look like they have been painted on canvases which as I said, I always love that look. The posters also look like there was another scene stamped over what is already on the poster. That gives such a unique look and extra dimension to the posters.
I just had to stick this poster in at the end of this post. I am not watching this drama so I have no idea what this poster means when it comes to the drama. I love the color contrast. I love the costumes and hair. How both flows back to the edges of the poster. I love the small little details like the sword going into him and the blood splatter. Also, his hand is quite an interesting detail.
That is the POSTER COLLECTION for July 2023! I think this post ended up being a decently sized collection. Not too big but also not too small. Still mostly dominated by cdramaland but I think that is always just going to be the norm. Cdramaland does release more posters overall.
