WOODZ IS HAVING A COMEBACK NEXT WEEK!!
So, I thought NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO SHINE THE SPOTLIGHT ON THIS TALENTED ARTIST!
Now when was I introduced to WOODZ? I was actually introduced to this talented artist when UNIQ was still promoting. UNIQ debuted in 2014. The group hasn't disbanded, all the members are just doing their own thing in Korea and China. I specifically was introduced to WOODZ (also some of his music is released under LUIZY which was his stage name before WOODZ) when he debuted as a soloist in 2016 which then brought me to UNIQ. WOODZ was also a part of the short-lived group X1 which I am sure brought over a ton of fans to his solo work when they debuted at the end of 2019 and disbanded in early 2020.
WOODZ does everything. He is a producer, singer, dancer and a rapper which made it a lot of fun to see him promote as a solo artist and show all that talent off. What do I like about WOODZ? You never know what you are going to get with his next release. He keeps switching it up and changing what he throws out with his music. He also has sort of an R&B sound to his music which I love! Not every release has this sound because he does experiment but his voice suits this style SO WELL! You can tell that this style is a theme when it comes to the solo artists I like (well most of them). HIS VOCALS ARE SO GOOD! He has great range and tone. I always love when he sings in the higher register of his voice.
I also just love watching him on variety shows. His personality is a huge draw for me on why I like him as an artist. I always like watching his vlogs and on whatever variety shows he has appeared on. He is just a good and rounded entertainer. It has been fun to see him grow with his solo work through the years. I think his last few releases has been AMAZING and I can't wait for the new album next week.

POOL
Pool gives you that summer vibe that you want throughout the year. I love how chill this song is and that he sings in his higher register a lot, especially during the chorus. He also sounds SO GOOD singing with Sumin. I think their voices blend well together.
meaningless
What I love about this song is how minimalistic it is. It really shows off WOODZ's vocals. I also like that this song has more of a jazzy undertone mixed with R&B. I think that makes it stand out. Just like in the mv, you get this intimate music video from him. It feels like he is in this bar, serenading you with just a microphone.
LOVE ME HARDER
Probably the release that made a lot of people take notice of WOODZ's solo work, it isn't very surprising that this song has caught everyone's eye. It is addictive and puts all of WOODZ's talents on display. WOODZ's vocals are fantastic in this song. Paired with the addictive instrumental of this song, this is just AN AWESOME SONG and a GREAT gateway to WOODZ as an artist.
ACCIDENT
This is one of my favorite B-sides off his albums. My favorite part of this song is the chorus. HIS VOCALS during the chorus are just so crisp and strong. They pierce through everything. He really shows his range with this song. I have listened to this song SO MANY TIMES! I don't plan to stop any time soon.
BUMP BUMP
Bump Bump is probably his most different title track to date. He went VERY POP with this release but I like that he went another direction. It shows another side of him. This song is also just fun to listen too. It makes you happy.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR HIS NEW ALBUM AND COMEBACK!
I am excited to see what kind of sound he comes out with now. I am really enjoying all of the teaser pictures that have been released with this comeback.
