If you came into this blogpost, thinking I had reined in my watchlist, I will tell you that you have been mistaken. I have gotten some dramas off my watchlist, but I have also added more dramas just to replace the dramas I got off my watchlist. It has been a combo of me just clicking play on dramas but also clicking play on dramas I am watching for upcoming podcast episodes. Of course, as always, the dramas that I am watching for podcast episodes take priority so, some of the dramas on my watchlist have taken the back seat while I watch the dramas I need to complete for podcast episodes.

AND GUESS WHAT - I am going to add more dramas to this list next week so, I am going to continue adding dramas to this watchlist and not try and get it down to a reasonable number.

KDRAMAS

Good Boy - I AM FINALLY WATCHING AN ON-AIR KDRAMA! I am behind on it but AT LEAST I AM WATCHING IT! I have been looking forward to Good Boy for a while - ever since it was announced. I remember we got the first teaser trailer all the way back in January of this year. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT IS ALREADY JUNE 2025! I have watched the first episode of this drama, and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I was a little worried that the comedy wouldn't work for me, but I liked it so far. I have only watched the first 2 episodes though. I love a good ensemble crime Kdrama. Lee Sang Yi has REALLY stood out to be so far in the drama, but the entire cast is doing a great job. I love that they all have a sport that they are good at and see how it translates to the jobs that they are doing. I am excited to watch more of this drama.

KVARIETY

Please Take Care of My Refrigerator Season 2 - I am still slowly watching this Kvariety show. I am still loving it. I am probably going to be watching for the rest of 2025 - ESPECIALLY if they keep adding episodes. Some guests I like more than others BUT I still like looking at what is in everyone's fridge when they bring it to the studio.

CDRAMAS

Medical Examiner Dr. Qin: The Survivor - I watched Dr Examiner Dr. Qin Season 1 earlier in the year for a podcast review that you can go listen to on Tea & Soju Podcast which is linked here. That was a rewatch for me and I realized after that I had never watched any of the other seasons of Medical Examiner Dr. Qin. It is a popular series in China and has had many dramas made within it. So, I looked at every Dr. Qin drama that I could find in the USA and Medical Examiner Dr. Qin: The Survivor was the next one in the series that I had access to it. There are a couple of seasons I don't have access too. I like this season so far. It still has a trio in this season, but it is a different female character. She is still Dr. Qin's assistant though. I am curious to explore this more and see what I think about their chemistry. I am not far into it; I have only watched the first case.

A Life for a Life - I have watched a couple more episodes of this cdrama and IT IS BEAUTIFUL! I just keep watching this in awe because as I said, it is filmed in the mountains and has this fog and green trees. It gives this creepy eerie feeling while being beautiful to look at. It is a slow burn, but I hope it speeds up as bit once I watch more episodes. THE ACTING IS GREAT just as I knew it would be. This is a short drama so, I hope I can finish this before my next watchlist blogpost.

Love in Pavilion - I have not made any more progress on this cdrama because other dramas have taken priority due to podcasts. I still am loving what I have watched so far. I am not far into it, but I plan to watch more. I just need to make more progress on it. I love a good Xianxia Cdrama so, I am excited to dive back into this one.

Love Like the Galaxy Part 1 (rewatch) - I need to finish this rewatch by the end of June for a podcast review. I have made good progress. If you remember this cdrama was split into 2 parts. I am on the last episode of Part 1 and then obviously plan to just roll right into Part 2. I am enjoying this rewatch SO MUCH! I love revisiting these characters and the moments that are my favorite. I NEED LEO WU TO DO ANOTHER HISTORICAL CDRAMA ALREADY!

There are a couple of his earlier Wuxia dramas I have not seen yet but he is REALLY young in those. I have heard whispers of some rumored castings for him so, we will have to see what happens with those rumors.

Lover or Stranger - This is a cdrama that has been put on the back burner a bit while I watch other dramas. I am not dropping it because I am very intrigued on where it is going to go. I just love the setup of this cdrama. I am curious about the chemistry of the 2 leads and where their story/mystery is going to go.

The Secret Path - I am still on the fence with this drama. I have not watched more episodes so, I have not officially decided if I am going to drop this drama or not yet. I still watch to watch more episodes, get more into the story and then decide if I still like it or not. This drama is just another drama right now that has been a casualty of me giving other dramas priority because of upcoming podcast episodes. The English speaking still bothers me.

JDRAMAS

Erased (rewatch) - This is a rewatch for me. I am watching it for an upcoming VERSUS podcast episode. I LOVE THIS CRIME JDRAMA! If you have not watched this crime Jdrama on Netflix yet, you really should! TW for child abuse, violence and child death. It is a very hard watch because it tackles hard topics BUT MAN IT IS WORTH IT! I am so glad that I am rewatching this Jdrama because I forgot how good it was. I am so glad to see that Netflix is getting more Jdramas too for their catalogue. It is a faithful adaption of the Jdrama so far, but I have seen some minor differences.

ANIME

Erased - The Jdrama might be a rewatch, but I have never seen the anime. Since the upcoming VERSUS episode is comparing the Jdrama and the anime, OF COURSE, I am watching the anime. I have only watched the first couple of episodes. I can already see some differences between the anime and the Jdrama. The Jdrama seems a little more condensed than the anime, but we will see once I watch more.

Kaiju No. 8 - I have watched the first episode of this anime. I was not expecting the comedy. I haven't watched a trailer before starting this. I clicked play on this anime for two reasons. Season 2 of this anime is supposed to air in July so, I wanted to watch Season 2 in order to eventually watch Season 2 once it is done airing. I have also heard good things about this anime. the Certified Noonas have mentioned it on their "What We're Watching" episodes. So, I got curious and wanted to check it out. It has an interesting concept and PLENTY of action which I love. I am excited to watch more.

The Super Cube - I HAVE SEEN SO MANY TIKTOK EDITS OF THIS ANIME! One scene of a fight scene is why I clicked play on this. I am aware that this is a Chinese anime, but I like it so far. The animation of this anime is INSANE! I am excited to watch more. If you like a fantasy/scifi based anime, you should check this one out.

THAI DRAMAS

Reset - I started this Thai drama for three reasons. 1 reason is I haven't watched a Thai drama is a long time. 2nd reason is I have heard good things about this drama and got curious. Third reason is I saw that it had time travel, and I am a SUCKER for time travel so, I had to click play. I liked the first episode a lot. The leads have good chemistry, and I am excited to see their relationship develop. I am curious about the mysteries that have been presented. I also think the acting has been good so far. I am excited to watch more episodes. If you have any other Thai dramas you have liked in 2025 so far, please let me know what they are!
