MY WATCHLIST - MAY 2025

Well, all of the work to "get dramas off my current watchlist" in April has gone out the window in May. I already know that I will not be finishing as many dramas in May that I did in April. I also just have adding dramas left and right to my current watchlist. So, my watchlist has not ballooned from 4 dramas that I was working on completing and getting off my watchlist to almost 10 with more being added every week. What also does not help is May is busy for me in my real lifer so, I should not be adding dramas onto my current watchlist because I really don't have the time to watch things right now.

I am also recording a lot of podcast episodes in May so, those dramas are going to take priority in what I complete in May. This means I may have started some of these dramas, but they might be taking a back seat until June because I need to start and complete other dramas in May or just put them on the back burner while I complete other dramas on my current watchlist. I am all over the place in May. That is what I am saying. I even want to start more dramas, but I know I have to rein it in.

KDRAMAS

Time Between Dog and Wolf - This is an older Kdrama that I am watching for an upcoming podcast episode. I have watched the first episode, and I like it so far. The opening scene sucks you in FOR SURE! This drama has everything from murder to spies to agents going undercover to revenge to romance. I am sure makjang is going to come into play. The cast has a lot of famous people from Lee Joon Gi to Jung Kyung Ho. Now, I have watched a lot of the older Kdramas but I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS ONE! There are plenty of older dramas that I have never watched even though I have been watching Asian dramas for almost 20 years. I am excited to watch more of this drama and see where it goes. I can see it getting crazier and crazier as I watch it.

Buried Hearts - I am still watching this Kdrama. I will admit it has been put on the back burner as I watch other things. I don't plan to drop it. I surprisingly have not been spoiled on the ending. I don't know how I dodged that. Where I am at in the drama, I am still enjoying it so, I want to continue watching it. I know that people did not like the ending so, I am curious what I will think of it. I do plan on completing this drama. I hope I can do that in May. I sort of curious why the ending made people mad. 😂

KVARIETY

Please Take Care of My Refrigerator Season 2 - So, this show has added even more episodes. I am not mad at this. Instead of this show supposedly ending in June, Netflix is now saying that it might end in September. I guess I will be watching this show for a LONG TIME! Just be ready for this show to be on my watchlist for a long time. I sort of watch this leisurely when I don't feel like thinking and watching a complicated drama. I am so glad they rebooted this show. If they are adding even more episodes, it probably means it is doing well in Korea.

CDRAMAS

Love in Pavilion - I watched the first episode of Love in Pavilion. I was always planning to watch this drama because I love Leon Zhang, and I wanted to support him in this drama. He needs his big break, and I am hoping this is it for him. I thought the first episode was good. I love Xianxia so, we got some good CGI and some good fights in the first episode. I am surprised with how stacked this supporting cast is! I am excited to watch more and see how epic this romance can get. I hope we get more good fights and lots of magic.

A Life for a Life - Another cdrama that I recently started. I have watched the first episode. I started this cdrama because of the cast and the trailer. This is another drama with a stacked cast like Qin Hao, Han Geng, Zhong Chu Xi and Shi Peng Yuan. I am trying not to compare this to The Bad Kids because 2 of the actors from The Bad Kids is in this. The good thing is the story is nothing like the Bad Kids. If you have not seen that cdrama - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The trailer looked beautiful and very cinematic, and the first episode sure did not disappoint. I loved the cinematography of this drama. The first episode was a little predictable, but I am okay with that. I am sure that there will still be twists in future episodes that I don't see coming.

Love Like the Galaxy Part 1 (rewatch) - I am still rewatching Love like the Galaxy because of a podcast review recording that is coming up. It is another drama that has taken a bit of a back seat so, I can finish other dramas. I don't need to complete it for a while so, there is not rush on this drama (yet). I still am liking it as much as I liked it the first time, I watched this cdrama.

Lover or Stranger - I started this cdrama randomly. I am intrigued! I like both Victoria Song and Ou Hao and I have had my eye on this cdrama for a long time. The two opening scenes really catches your attention. By the end of the first episode, which is all I have watched so far, I am curious about a lot of things. I don't know if the leads are telling the truth or if the leads are even the people they claim to be. I can see Ou Hao's character becoming really possessive and creepy. I am glad I clicked play on this but at the same time, I REALLY should have waited and clicked play on this at another time. I have so many dramas on my plate already.

The Secret Path - This is another drama I recently clicked play on. I have watched the first episode. It is a recent spy cdrama that started airing. I was just in the mood for a spy drama and saw that this one had recently started airing. I don't know if I am going to continue with this drama yet. I need to watch more. I like Edward Zhang. The English-speaking actors were not good but that is common for Cdramas or any Asian dramas at this point.

ANIME

My Happy Marriage Season 2 - I have not made any more progress on this anime. It definitely has gone on the back burner so, I can finish other dramas and anime. I hope to finish it by the end of May. I just need to make time and complete it.
