MY WATCHLIST - OCTOBER 2025

I wanted to have more dramas off my current watchlist by the time we got to the October Watchlist post, but this is where we are at. I got some dramas (and anime) off my current watchlist. I also added some new dramas to my current watchlist. I still need to get some Cdramas off my watchlist which I think I will concentrate on for the rest of October and into November. I know there are some longer dramas/Kvariety shows that will probably be pushed into 2026 FOR SURE! I also know that even though I am not looking forward to a lot in October - November is a COMPLETELY different story. I am looking for TOO MUCH in November and I will have to make choices. Since I am taking a break from the podcast/blog in November, I am hoping I can just binge stuff and get them off my current watchlist. Then start December with a lot of changes on my current watchlist.
KDRAMAS
I cleaned my current watchlist of all my older Kdramas I was watching for months so, here is all new Kdramas I recently started and ALL ARE WILD!
Ms. Incognito - I watched the first episode of this Kdrama. I am not caught up but I like the first episode. I loved that the woman bodyguard is unconventional but good at her job. The rich man who hired her, has children WHO ARE HORRIBLE! The actress who plays his daughter is doing a phenomenal job because SHE IS DESPICABLE, UNHINGED AND DOWNRIGHT EVIL! The setup from this first episode just makes me excited to watch more. There are a lot of people has secrets and a lot of people who are going to become enemies. I am just excited to see it unfold!
First Lady - I also clicked play on First Lady. It is definitely set up to be a good makjang with potential cheating. There are already mysteries and complicated relationships within the main family. I am curious to get some answers to some of the mysteries introduced in episode 1 like why does he want to divorce her? Is it because he is cheating or is it because he is getting threatened or something? Her husband looked scared when he found out he won the election, not happy. Her daughter ANNOYED the hell out of me in the first episode.
A Graceful Liar - Did Caitlin start a Daily Drama with 100 episodes? Yes, yes, she did. Is it one of those daily dramas where it goes FULL BLOWN makjang with birth secrets, murder and possibly a kimchi slap at some point? Why yes, yes, it is. THE FIRST EPISODE WAS CRAZY!! This is the first 4 scenes we get. The first scene the father of the main girl from a poor family gets arrested for murder, but we don't know who got murdered or how or why. The second scene is the main girl's mother after the father is arrested drops her off and abandons her at a friend or neighbor's house and she is maybe 10 years old. Third scene the main girl is pretending to be a socialite and from a rich family and has taken on this new name and identity. LAST SCENE - the main girl goes on the blind date, and she ends up marrying the guy. They are at the wedding, and she bows to the groom's family. The bride and groom part and the camera zooms in and the bride and groom just bowed to the mother who abandoned her 25 years, and the main girl is now marrying into this family where her own bother is the stepmother to her new husband.
KVARIETY
Please Take Care of My Refrigerator Season 2 - I need to catch up on this show, but I also am REALLY far away from catching up to where this show is. Maybe I just need to get into the habit and try and watch 1 episode a week, like if I was watching it as it was airing. I just have sat on this show and let the episode pile up which is how I got here. 😂 I am still enjoying this show though. I love the guests. I love the food. I love the jokes. I just can't binge the show. I also hear that Culinary Class Wars Season 2 is coming in December which I am DEFINITELY watching!
CDRAMAS
I think this is where I will be concentrating for the next month or so, I need to get some of these cdramas off my current watchlist because A LOT of them have been on my current watchlist for a LONG TIME! They need to be gone by 2026 or at least a lot of them should.
Mysterious Lotus Casebook - I am more than halfway through this cdrama. I will probably finish it next week. I am liking this cdrama A LOT! Cheng Yi's character is definitely my favorite. I wish he would tell Joseph Zeng's character who he is already. I expect that it will cause a falling out for a bit which is always sad because I hate seeing their characters fight. Right now, Xiao Shun Yao's character has amnesia and I love that Joseph Zeng and Cheng Yi's character is just playing around with him. I have NO CLUE who this big bad guy could be. I have no guess which is great for me because I hate when I can guess the ending. This makes me want to watch more cdramas with this setup like a group of people traveling around saving people and solving mysteries. I know I have plenty in my backlog I want to watch.
Medical Examiner Dr. Qin: The Mind Reader - I have not watched more of this because I was bingeing other dramas to get it off my watchlist like Mysterious Lotus Casebook. I plan to complete this drama in November.
Lover or Stranger - I have not watched more of this because I was bingeing other dramas to get it off my watchlist like Mysterious Lotus Casebook. I plan to complete this drama in November.
Love in Pavilion - I have not watched more of this because I was bingeing other dramas to get it off my watchlist like Mysterious Lotus Casebook. I plan to complete this drama in November.
Coroner's Diary - I am slowly watching this. I want to binge it because I am enjoying it so much, but I have other dramas I need to watch and get off my current watchlist. I plan to complete this before the end of the year. I was going to complete it in October but the podcast recording got pushed back so, now I have a little more time to enjoy this drama and really live in the moment with this cdrama which I am enjoying a lot. I am liking the mysteries and I love the chemistry between the 2 leads a lot. I am not surprised I like this cdrama so much. It is RIGHT UP MY ALLEY!
JDRAMAS
I started all of this last month and made some progress like bingeing and completing Our Dining Table but with the other 2 Jdramas, I have not made a lot of progress.
Usotoki Rhetoric - I have watched a few more episodes of this jdrama. This will definitely be completed before the end of 2025. I still am liking the 2 leads and their quirks. I love the found family in it. I love the mysteries and the leads working together.
A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You - I also watched a few more episodes of this jdrama. It is still cute and still makes me laugh. The leads are a cute couple just trying to figure themselves out through marriage and learning how to live together now. They are going through their first romantic relationship together. It is definitely cute, and I am going to continue watching it for sure. I plan to complete this by the end of 2025 FOR SURE!
