I watched The Last Promise in the last month or so. It just made me remember how much I LOVE dramas that have to do with reincarnation. No matter what country the drama is from. As I said in my The Last Promise review, I love how not even death can separate these couples. As I said, I am a hopeless romantic sometimes.
So, I thought why not write a post of some of my favorite dramas that have to do with reincarnation. Maybe it will get you guys to name some dramas for me to check out because I COULD ALWAYS DO WITH ANOTHER REINCARNATION DRAMA IN MY LIFE! If your favorites aren't on my list doesn't mean I didn't like it. This list is just the first ones that come to mind when I think of reincarnation dramas. I may not have seen your favorites yet OR I just can't make this list A MILE LONG!
TEN MILES OF PEACH BLOSSOMS
Ten Miles of Peace Blossoms is God tier when it comes to reincarnation dramas for me. Xianxia dramas are one of my favorite genres of Chinese dramas. Reincarnation stories are a major plot point within this genre of dramas which I guess makes me a LUCKY drama watcher. When I watched this drama, I was so invested in everything.😂 I think I binged it in like 3 days but I can't remember. The love story between Yang Mi and Mark Chao's characters took us through all the emotions. You rooted for them and THEY HAD SUCH GREAT CHEMISTRY TOGETHER! I also loved the second couples in this drama. It was a beautiful drama to watch with its sets and costumes. I loved all the magic and wonder when it came to this drama. I have yet to watch some of the spin-offs and other dramas from this team but they are always on my list.
ETERNAL LOVE
This drama series might not have the highest budget but it won me over FOR SURE! I have only seen the first season of this drama series. I have the other 2 seasons on my list to watch. The aspect of this drama that I think sold me on this drama was the main couple. I think the main couple's chemistry sold a lot of people on this drama which is why there are 2 more seasons of this drama. Xing Zhao Lin and Liang Jie were fantastic together as the main couple in the Eternal Love series. This drama series made me a fan of both of them as actors. Their chemistry sold me on the story, their love story and the drama itself. I loved seeing them on screen together because it just seemed so effortless for them to act as a couple. I rooted for them throughout season 1 so, I really need to watch the other 2 seasons to see where their love story goes.
GOBLIN
This wouldn't be a reincarnation list without Goblin being somewhere on this list. I loved everything about this drama. I am a sucker for fantasy dramas and this has that IN SPADES! The magic, the chemistry between all the main characters and just the story drew me in. I cried, laughed and got angry with the plot. The cinematography was beautiful and I still listen to the OSTs to this day. I think I have rewatched this drama 4 times. It is one of the few dramas I will rewatch.
UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
I was very late in watching Until We Meet Again. I watched it almost a year after it aired. I am so happy that I did. I had not watched many Thai dramas when I watched this one. I mean I still have not watched many Thai dramas as I type this. THE WAY I CRIED SO MUCH WITH THIS DRAMA! 😂 I was sobbing with many scenes in this drama. I loved all the actors and couples with this drama. These couples took me through every emotion in this drama and I rooted for them the entire drama. I think I binged this drama in a matter of days and was hitting myself for not watching it sooner.
THE LAST PROMISE
I said I would watch my first Lakorn in 2021 AND I MANAGED TO DO IT! I am so glad that The Last Promise was my first Lakorn. I LOVED Orn and Phak/Thichong's relationship. Their relationship was a HIGHLIGHT for me in this drama. THEIR CHEMISTRY WAS THROUGH THE ROOF! The Last Promise really earned its spot on my list of TOP REINCARNATION DRAMAS! I loved everything about it. The acting was great in this drama too. There are a lot of talented actors/actresses in this drama so I am excited to watch them all in other dramas.
