ITS THAT TIME AGAIN - TIME FOR MY PLAYLIST FOR NOVEMBER 2020!
Hopefully, I can introduce you to some releases that you might not have known about or introduce you to new songs/artists that you haven't heard before.
TAEMIN - NEVER GONNA DANCE AGAIN ACT 2
As I said in my last Monthly playlist post (October 2020) - ANYTIME Taemin releases music, it is IMMEDIATELY at the top of my playlist. SO naturally, since he released music yesterday, IT IS ALL I'VE BEEN LISTENING TOO HAHA! I loved the title track "IDEA", I think it sounded SO LIKE HIM but also was a breath of fresh air and new for him. I liked the entire album but the B-sides that really stood out to me were "Impressionable" & "Heaven".
PARK JI HOON - MESSAGE
THIS ALBUM TOOK ME BY SURPRISE! I have always been a fan of Park Ji Hoon. He makes good music but I never seek him out. So, I went into this album not having expectations because I hadn't listened to any of the audio previews or even seen any of the teasers. IT IS SO GOOD! A complete change up from his previous releases. I always like an artist who experiments and switches up the sound of their music. Some of my favorite B-sides off the album are "Rolling", "DRESS CODE" and "Whisper". I can click play on this entire album though and listen to it from start to finish. I love when I can do that for an album.
DEEP SQUAD - GOOD LOVE YOUR LOVE
This is one of 2 OSTS for the Jdrama Cherry Magic which I am currently watching. You can read my thoughts on Cherry Magic after watching the first 2 episodes here. I have been listening to both of the OSTs of Cherry Magic on repeat. I like the instrumental of this song because it seems to add more and more instruments to its layers as I listen to the song. This song also made me check out the rest of Deep Squad's discography which is VERY GOOD! I like it all, even though there isn't a lot YET.
UBUGOE - OMOINOTAKE
This song is the other OST for Cherry Magic. So, like GOOD LOVE YOUR LOVE, UBUGOE has been ON REPEAT FOR ME! I love the brass that plays in the chorus of this song. I also love that this song opens up with just a voice and almost no instrumental. It keeps this song interesting and lively because you don't know what to expect next.
K/DA - ALL OUT
There are 3 reasons why I have become a fan of K/DA over time. 1 - I love an electronic sound and since a lot of K/DA's songs have electronic instrumentals or electronic effects - I LOVE THEIR SOUND! 2 - I love Soyeon as a rapper so any time I get to hear her raps, I'M IN! 3 - THEY JUST HAVE CATCHY SONGS! I can't help myself HAHA!
MAMAMOO - AYA
I AM ALWAYS A FAN OF MAMAMOO! Any time they drop a new song or album, I listen to it IMMEDIATELY! Mamamoo just has AMAZING vocals and such range. It is always nice to hear their voices. AYA has definitely been the song off the new album that I have been listening to the most. I love the flute instrumental and how aggressive the song is!
GFRIEND - MAGO
The retro concept has really been a trend in KPOP this year AND IM HERE FOR IT! The latest release with this concept is GFRIEND with MAGO. It is just a fun song and even though retro songs have been coming out A LOT - I think this song is unique among the many releases. I immediately want to dance when it hits the chorus. The entire album is great as well BUT I do have to say I was a little disappointed that the past title tracks were included on this new album - EVEN though I love all their title tracks. I just wanted new songs because I am selfish and we didn't get as many as we could have.
TREASURE - MMM
EVERYTHING that Treasure has released, I HAVE LOVED! It is no surprise that I also like MMM HAHA! I love the chorus, how you expect one thing and get something completely different. I do have to say - I appreciate this song more when I watch the mv when I just listen to it alone. I find that I watch the mv a lot to listen to the song rather than just put it on Spotify. TREASURE IS JUST SO GOOD AT DANCING - so you have to appreciate the dancing with this song.
DREAMCATCHER - ENTIRE DISCOGRAPHY
Due to Halloween and my post about DREAMCATCHER for MUSIC MONDAYS (you can read it here), I am still listening to DREAMCATCHER'S ENTIRE DISCOGRAPHY A LOT! I just love this girl group so much! Their discography is just so unique! I always appreciate the electronic and rock instrumentals in their songs. IM STILL LISTENING TO DREAMCATCHER A TON!
CIX - HELLO: CHAPTER 3: HELLO, STRANGE TIME
I am a HUGE fan of CIX. I was very happy to hear that they were FINALLY having a comeback. LET ME TELL YOU - ONE OF MY FAVORITE RELEASES OF 2020! The MV for Jungle was a MASTERPIECE! I don't even know how many times I have watched it at this point. I need to buy this album because I have listened to this ENTIRE album SO MANY TIMES! I am just so happy that they finally had this comeback!
