In My 2024 Drama watching Resolutions blog post, which you can read here, I stated that I wanted to only be watching 6-8 dramas at one time, possibly bumping that to no more than 10 dramas at one time. Right now, in January 2024, I am keeping to that so, this first MY WATCHLIST blogpost for the new year might seem short compared to other MY WATCHLIST blogposts in previous years.
Remember if I put ADDICTED next to any drama, that means I AM LOVING THE DRAMA!
KDRAMAS
My Happy Ending (*ADDICTED*) - THE WAY THAT I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS DRAMA! I have so many theories running through my head. It is a kdrama that is right up my alley because I love a good thriller drama. I don't know what is fully going on and I love guessing what might happen next. I RUN to the next episodes and I can't wait to watch more. If you are someone who loves a good scandalous, cheating drama - you should check this one out. I HAVE SERIOUS SECOND MALE LEAD SYNDROME WITH THIS DRAMA!
Like Flowers in Sand - I am very behind on this drama but I am still liking it a lot. I love seeing Jang Dong Yoon take these different types of roles and kill every one of them. Usually, I don't think I would like this drama because it is sort of a slice of life drama mixed with other genres. For some people, including myself, this drama may seem a little slow but I like it still. I honestly am so surprised I like this drama as much as I am.
Love Song for Illusion - I have only watched the first episode of this drama. It was good but I don't think I am far enough into the drama to have a real opinion yet. I definitely can tell that Park Ji Hoon is going to do amazing with this role. He plays a person with dual personalities and we already know how good of an actor he is. I like this drama so far but I need to watch more to decided why and how much I like it.
Marry My Husband (*ADDICTED*) - I know a TON of people are loving this Kdrama and I AM THE SAME! I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS DRAMA AS WELL! I love a good revenge story and this one is SO GOOD so far! I think this is the best drama I have seen Park Min Young do yet. I am rooting HARDCORE for her character. I am liking Na In Woo in this role as well but I need to know more about his character. I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH MORE!
My Man is Cupid - I know a lot of people dropped this drama. I have heard a lot of people dropped it because it became about the crime and not the romance. I get that and that is probably why I am still here. 😂 I like this drama a lot but I am here more to see who the culprit is and to see the solutions for all the mysteries that are currently going on. I want all the secrets revealed. I like the romance but that is not why I am watching. I also don't see the point of the three guys the male lead lives with. I don't think they are necessary. We will see how this one ends.
Bad Thief, Good Thief - I am continuing with this drama. I am not too far into it. I am still in the episodes when the main characters are still children. It is NOT what I thought it would be. It is a lot sadder than I thought it was going to be. I am enjoying it so far but I am not that far into it. I want to the main characters to become adults already but I think that will be a bit still. I think I am going to enjoy this one but we will see.
CDRAMAS
The Princess Wei Young - This cdrama is actually a rewatch for me. I have not watched it in a LONG TIME! I am excited to revisit this Chinese drama and see what I think about it now. I am watching it for a future podcast episode. This rewatch has made me want to go back, and watch some other cdramas from this same era that I have already watched. I want to see if I still like them.
That is what I am currently watching for January 2024. I really am trying to keep my watchlist under control but we will see what happens. I could get bored one day and decide to click play on a bunch of new dramas before finishing any dramas I am currently watching.
